Youth soccer stats and coaching

Every match, measured.Every practice, aimed.

Share the video your team already records. SoccerTraq turns it into match stats with the evidence behind every number, coaching notes with drills to train them, and each player's progress through the season.

How it works

From the sideline to the stats, without new gear.

No camera to buy and nothing to install. If your team films its matches, you already have what SoccerTraq needs. Each match then feeds the next week's practice, and the matches after it show what changed.

  1. Add your roster once

Type jersey numbers and first names, or add everyone from a screenshot of your PlayMetrics or TeamSnap roster. The picture is read on your device and never uploaded. Then invite every family by email in one go.

    #8 Maya R · #10 Ava T · #21 …
  2. Share the match

Paste a Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive link, or upload the file; uploads pick up where they left off if Wi-Fi drops. Follow cameras and full-field cameras both work.

    drive.google.com/file/d/… ✓
  3. We count it

Our system reads the video for where the play was. Today a trained SoccerTraq reviewer also logs every shot, pass, duel and set piece by the rules in our Stat Dictionary. Each stat goes automatic once it passes our accuracy bar.

    Shot · #10 · on target · Confirmed
  4. Train what it found

Coaches get the report, coaching notes with drills, and a practice plan to start from. Families see the team's numbers and their own child's. Everyone gets an email when the report is ready.

The report

Every stat your coach keeps asking about.

Team stats, where the play was and each player's numbers in one report, laid out like the pro apps your players already know. Every number carries a tag that says where it came from, and anything we didn't measure is left blank, never guessed.

Replay

Your match, from above.

Every reviewed match gets a play-by-play on a digital pitch. Where we track a match, the full replay shows every player and the ball as dots, second by second. No video clips, ever.

  • Play by play for every reviewed match. Step through each shot, pass and tackle in order, or just the shots, with an arrow for every pass and shot.
  • Your shape on tracked matches. Turn on team shape to see each line, how high the back line is, and how long and wide the team was at any moment.
  • Nothing filled in. When the camera loses a player, the replay shows the gap. A split-second miss is drawn as a hollow dot and marked as an estimate, and what the camera didn't see is shaded.
  • Straight from a coaching note. A note's moments open the replay a few seconds before each one.
  • Safe to share with families. Parents see their own child's number; every other player is an unnamed dot.
For coaches

What to fix, and how to train it.

After each match, fixed rules look over your numbers for patterns worth your attention. Each coaching note shows the numbers behind it and drills to train it, from a library checked by youth coaches. You keep, edit or dismiss every note.

For players and families

Know what to work on, and see it pay off.

Coaches set a development goal from a player's own numbers and give drills to practise at home. Families tick them off, and SoccerTraq follows the next matches against the starting point.

  • Their own numbers, every matchThe team's numbers, plus your child's own, and a match rating out of 10 that is never ranked.
  • Goals from real numbersSet by the coach from your child's own matches, with small samples and minutes played said plainly.
  • Drills to do at homeSolo drills for field players and goalkeepers, picked by the coach for your child's goal. Tick them off as you go.
  • A pathway to the next formatWhen the coach shares it: what 9v9, 11v11 or the older game asks of your child's position, with their own numbers beside it.
  • A monthly progress emailYour child's matches, goals and drills from the month, on the 1st. Turn it off any time.
  • Ask about your childAsk the AI assistant about your own child's matches and get ideas to practise at home. Never about other children.
  • Encouraging by designStrengths first, no labels a child might carry around, and families never see one child ranked against another.

Recruiting

A recruiting card your family controls.

When your player is looking at college soccer, make a card with their season numbers and the details college coaches ask for. You decide who sees it, and you can switch it off at any time.

  • Only measured and reviewed numbers. Games, minutes, goals, assists, shots and pass accuracy, or saves for a keeper, each with its evidence tag. Never estimates, ratings or another child's numbers.
  • The details coaches ask for. Graduation year, positions, dominant foot, club and league, grades and test scores, upcoming events, and a link to your own highlight video on YouTube, Hudl, Vimeo or Veo. All optional.
  • College coaches by invitation only. Coaches sign in with their college email and are checked by our team. They see only the cards a family shares with them, and a coach who asks for one waits for your yes.
  • You see where it goes. The card shows how often it was opened and which college coaches have it. Turn the link off, remove a coach or delete the card whenever you like.
  • Players 18 and older can run their own. An adult player can have their own account, by invitation, and manage their card themselves.

Built for families

Every player is a kid. We built it that way.

Privacy isn't a setting we added later. It's how SoccerTraq works from the first upload. Our privacy policy says it in full.

Private to your team

A child's own numbers are seen by their parents and coaches, and by the SoccerTraq reviewers and support staff who check matches. Sharing anything outside the team is always a parent's choice.

Shirt numbers, not faces

We follow players by shirt number, kit and position, and a coach confirms who is who. No face recognition, ever.

Parental consent, in writing

We ask each family to sign a consent form for their child, on screen or on paper. Any parent can opt their child out, which deletes the child's own numbers and name.

Video deleted after 90 days

Uploaded match videos are automatically deleted 90 days after upload. Stats and dot replays are kept for 3 years after the match, then deleted.

Every number shows its evidence

Measured, estimate, reviewed or partial: each stat says where it came from, and coaching notes cite the numbers behind them.

Nothing invented

Replays use only tracked positions, and gaps stay gaps. See a number that looks wrong? Flag it and a reviewer checks.

AI sees numbers only

The AI that explains coaching notes and answers questions gets numbers, never names, jersey numbers or video.

Not trained on your video

We don't train our models on your team's footage. Any future programme would be a separate choice, with parents' consent.

The difference

Pro analysis, built for youth teams.

Some systems record only with their own camera or app. Others tag the match for the team, with player-by-player detail as an upgrade. SoccerTraq works with the video you already have, gives coaches pro tools, and lets each family choose what they share.

For clubs and directors of coaching

See every team on one page.

Every team's results and training in one place, and one curriculum across the club, from the video your teams already record.

  • Club dashboard. Each team's record and goals, its passing and possession over the last three matches against the ones before, coaching notes waiting, practice plans and when it was last active. Team level only: no player is shown.
  • Shared curriculum. Share a training week with every team in the club; each coach copies it into their own plans in one click.
  • Coach development reports. Each team's month: matches, practice minutes by category, coaching notes acted on, priorities followed and how evenly minutes were shared. To support coaches, never to rank them.
  • Bring teams in. Add the teams you run, or send a team's manager an invite link.

Questions

What parents and coaches ask us first.

Do I need a special camera?

No. SoccerTraq works with the full match video you already have, from BallerCam, Veo, Trace, Hudl or a phone, as a file or a Google Drive, Dropbox or OneDrive link. Some camera plans only let you download highlights or limit who can download, so check that yours lets you download the whole match. On Trace, for example, full games can be downloaded only by Pro subscribers once 7 families on the team subscribe, on a computer, within 90 days of the game. Your camera, its settings and its recordings are handled by your camera provider; SoccerTraq starts from the finished video.

Who counts the stats?

Our system reads the video for where the play was. Today a trained SoccerTraq reviewer also logs each match by the rules in our Stat Dictionary: every shot, pass, duel and set piece, each marked Confirmed or Likely. Anything unclear is left out of the counts. A stat moves to automatic only once it meets our accuracy bar against hand-counted matches, and its tag tells you which it is.

How accurate are the stats?

Every number carries a tag: measured from the video, an estimate with known uncertainty, reviewed by a trained person, or partial when only part of the match was on camera. A number we can't measure is left blank rather than guessed. From Q1 2027 we'll publish our accuracy each season.

How fast do we get the report?

The first numbers, such as where the play was, usually arrive the same day you share the video. The full report follows once a reviewer has logged the match. You'll get an email when each is ready, and you can turn those emails off.

Do you make highlight videos?

No. SoccerTraq never makes or shares video clips. Replays show players and the ball as dots on a digital pitch. Coaches can look at a coaching note's moment in their own match video inside the app, and a family can add a link to their own highlight video on a recruiting card, but nothing is cut, saved or shared by us.

Our camera follows the ball. Does that still work?

Yes. Follow cameras are the most common setup and SoccerTraq is built for them. Because a follow camera shows only part of the pitch, stats that need every player, such as team width or how high the back line is, are marked partial and say how much of the match they cover. Full-field cameras unlock the complete versions.

Where do the coaching notes come from?

From fixed rules applied to your match numbers, such as final-third entries that rarely reach the box, a press that gives the opponent time, or a team stretched too long without the ball. Each note shows the numbers behind it and drills from our library. An AI writes a short explanation from those numbers only, and the coach always decides what to use.

How do we add our roster and invite families?

Type in jersey numbers and first names, or take a screenshot of your roster in PlayMetrics, TeamSnap or a spreadsheet and add everyone at once: the screenshot is read on your device and never uploaded, and we keep only each player's number, first name and last initial. Then invite families by email, one at a time or the whole team from a pasted list. Each invite links a parent to their own child only, and we delete the email address once the invite is used or runs out.

What do parents get?

After every match, the score and the team's numbers. For their own child: match-by-match numbers, a match rating that's never ranked, the goals and home drills their coach sets, a monthly progress email, and a recruiting card they choose to share. Recaps, coaching notes and season trends stay with the coaches unless they share them.

Who can see my child's numbers and video?

Your child's own numbers are seen by you, your team's coaches, and the SoccerTraq reviewers and support staff who check matches. Other families see your child only in team totals and as an unnamed dot. Match video is only ever watched inside the app, by SoccerTraq reviewers and support staff and by your coaches, and is deleted 90 days after upload. Players are followed by shirt number, never by face.

Do you ask for parents' consent?

Yes. Every parent agrees to our terms when they join, and we ask each family to sign a consent form for their child, on screen or on paper with a photo. Any parent can opt their child out at any time, which deletes the child's own numbers and name.

Which ages and formats?

Youth soccer at 7v7, 9v9 and 11v11. Players 18 and older can have their own account, by invitation from their team or family.

Can we cancel in the off-season?

Yes. Cancel on the Billing page at any time without contacting us; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
